The 2023 graduation ceremony of Tsinghua University School of Medicine ( School of Pharmacy ) was held in the Square of Medical Science Building of Tsinghua University. Vice-President Wang Hongwei, Vice-Provost Huang Tianyin of Tsinghua University and President Qi Hai of the school of Medicine attended the ceremony. The participants of the ceremony also included other leaders and experts of Tsinghua University, such as Dong Jiahong, Dean of Clinical Medical School, Hong Bo, Party Secretary of Medical School, Zhang Zongjiu, Executive Vice-President of Hospital Management Research Institute, and 264 graduates and parents of the 2023 session. Wang Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee of our university, was invited to attend and give a speech.

In his speech, Wang Jun expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates of Tsinghua University School of Medicine (School of Pharmacy) for successfully completing their studies and embarking on a new journey. He pointed out that as the main force of higher medical education in the new era, The Tsinghua School of Medicine and Shanxi Medical University are connected with the great vision of a powerful nation of education and a healthy China, and both bear the historical responsibility of serving the major strategic needs of the country and improving people 's health and well-being. From the perspective of people 's life and health, Wang Jun put forward three aspects of thinking: “What problems need to be solved”, “Who needs to solve the problem”, “How should we solve the problem”. He pointed out that in the face of people 's life and health, the core is to accelerate scientific and technological innovation, the key is to speed up the transformation of achievements, and the fundamental is to cultivate excellent medical and health talents. We should not only have the Chinese responsibility of “whoever we are” and contribute the Chinese wisdom of “harmony but difference” to the world, but also build a global community of health for all, actively participate in global health governance, and promote health equity and accessibility.

Wang Jun sent a cordial invitation from Shanxi to graduates of Tsinghua School of Medicine. He pointed out that Shanxi is a place where people can “enjoy the view of mountains and water ”. In Shanxi, you can feel the history. It is hoped that the students at Tsinghua University will go to Shanxi to take a look, take root in the motherland, plant the feelings of home and country, display their talents, and make contributions in the fertile soil of Shanxi, and write a colorful chapter of life struggle in the motherland.
